What We Do
Changing lives, one job at a time.
SUPPORTED EMPLOYMENT
Supporting people retain paid employment.
Supported Employment has been successfully used for decades as a person centred model for supporting people with disabilities or some other disadvantage to secure and retain paid employment.
The model uses a partnership strategy to enable people with barriers to achieve sustainable long-term employment and businesses to employ valuable motivated to work job seekers.
Experienced and qualified Employment Specialists and Coaches work alongside both the job seeker and employer to achieve the employment goal for the individual and business benefit for the employer.
SUPPORTED INTERNSHIPS
Helping young people gain employable skills.
Supported Internships are a proven way of layering up the skills that young people (with an Education Health and Care Plan) need to become more employable. Essentially it is a school or college course where the majority of the time is actually spent in the workplace.
Our Supported Internships involve partnerships between various employers we have relationships with who provide the work placements, various schools and colleges who provide the education element of the programme and ourselves who support both the Intern and the employer to develop the young person’s work based skills.
Supported Internships are very successful in moving young people out of education into employment.
RECRUITING TALENT
Helping you find the right people.
In our discussions with employers we consistently hear that they struggle to find the ‘right’ people.
People well matched to their vacancy. People who are truly motivated to work. People who want the opportunity for a long term position.
We work with a large number of employers – micro businesses, SME’s and national and international organisations in a wide range of sectors to support them with their recruitment challenges. We support skilled people who want to work and we pride ourselves on finding the ‘right person for the right job’.
WORKPLACE SUPPORT
Experienced and qualified employment coaches.
Ways into Work provides time unlimited support from experienced and qualified Employment Coaches in the work place for our job seeker and the employer.
Our aim is to enable the job seeker/new employee to work independently as soon as possible through job coaching and the employer to feel empowered to work with and manage their new member of staff.
Sometimes existing staff will not have worked with someone with a disability before – we can support an employer to feel confident and provide them with strategies and visual aids which very often can benefit the whole work force.
TRAINING & CONSULTANCY
Helping you to support your staff.
Do you need support to inform your staff about disability; to understand what are misguided perceptions, to discuss the facts, the difficulties people with a disability face, the law and what to say and how to say it?
Or are you are a business, commissioner, education provider or anyone else who needs support to embed supported employment in your organisation and/or improve your diversity and inclusion?
