Delivered by Ways into Work CiC who work with over 250 employers and over 550 clients with disabilities across Berkshire, West Berkshire, Hampshire and Oxford.  We support clients into paid employment and employers with their recruitment needs and agenda to introduce diversity and inclusion across their workforce.

Caroline, who is BASE Qualified has worked for Ways into Work, initially as an Employment Coach for the past six years. With vast experience of supporting the Jobseeker and Employer to effect a good job match.


Caroline knows about the challenges that both Jobseekers and Employers can face, so is well qualified to provide practical advice and support.


Emma Shuttleworth

Emma who has lived experience, not only works as a trainer on the DAT team for Ways into Work but also has a second job working at a supermarket as a sales assistant.

The ONLINE out of the box courses below cost £50 per person, with a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 16 attendees.


We can also deliver at a site of your choosing, face to face, at the same rate plus expenses.


  • A 90 minute Introduction to Disability Awareness

    • Know your obligations under the law
    • A basic understanding of the five categories of disability directly from a trainer with lived experience 
    • Practical advice on how to make reasonable adjustments. 
    • Valuable inspirational insight directly from a person with lived experience about their journey 
    • Know where to get all the support you may need.
    • Our introduction will give you the confidence and the knowledge you require to successfully employ a person with a disability. 

  • A deep dive into Reasonable Adjustments

    Learn what the benefits are of offering reasonable adjustments to your workforce and what your obligations are as an employer or prospective employer through the recruitment phase. This workshop will demystify and provide practical examples that will enabl employers to support and get the best out of their staff. The course will include:

    • Understanding what a reasonable adjustment is, what the law says and your obligation as an employer. 
    • Knowing when and how to make a reasonable adjustment. 
    • Real life examples of reasonable adjustments that can be made in the workplace for people with differing needs. 
    • Where financial support maybe found to support staff with reasonable adjustments
